Whether a television can play Moa Tv on its own depends less on the badge on the front than on the software inside. The settings menu usually names it, in an About or Support section.
Which system does your TV run?
| System | Found on | What to install |
|---|---|---|
| Google TV or Android TV | Many Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and Sharp models | TiviMate from Google Play, with Premium activated by us |
| Tizen | Samsung | An app from Samsung’s store, or a plug-in stick |
| webOS | LG | An app from the LG Content Store, or a plug-in stick |
| Roku TV and older systems | Various brands | A plug-in stick |
Google TV and Android TV sets
These sets behave like a streamer built into the screen. Fetch TiviMate from Google Play, unlock Premium with the TiviMate account from our email and enter your Moa Tv details. Everything works on the television itself: the full guide, catch-up, recording to a USB drive and 4K on a 4K panel. The smart TV install guide has each screen.
Samsung and LG televisions
TiviMate isn’t made for Tizen or webOS, so there are two ways forward:
- An app from the television’s own store. A number of Samsung and LG apps sign in with Xtream Codes or load an M3U address. Some charge for activation when their trial runs out, and that money goes to whoever made the app rather than to Moa Tv.
- A plug-in stick. Add a Fire OS stick such as the 4K Max, or a Google TV Streamer, and you get TiviMate Premium with its full guide, frequently for less than a couple of years of app fees.
If the TV app works well for you, there’s no need to buy anything. If you find yourself wishing for a better guide or recording, the stick is the upgrade.
Roku and older smart TVs
Roku televisions, and older sets with a thin app selection, are simplest with a stick in a free HDMI socket. Switch the input over, then carry on with the Fire TV or Android page.
Smart TV questions
How can I tell whether my TV is Google TV or Android TV?
A Google TV set usually shows that name on its home screen. Failing that, the About section of the settings mentions Android TV, and either type will have the Play Store.
Which player do you suggest for Samsung or LG?
What’s available varies by region and by the year the set was made, so we recommend one for your exact model. Send us the model number.
Is an app on the TV itself as good as a stick?
On Google TV and Android TV sets, yes, because it’s the same TiviMate. On Samsung and LG, a stick running TiviMate generally gives a richer guide and extra features.
