Scrolling through channel names to see what’s on is tiring. The guide, also called the EPG (electronic programme guide), replaces that with a grid of programmes and start times, much like the guide on a cable box. With Moa Tv it loads with your channels, ready to use.
Reading the guide
Channels run down the side and time runs across the top. Each block is a programme; select it for the title, a short description and, where the broadcaster provides them, episode details and artwork. Channels with an archive carry a small catch-up marker, which means you can scroll left into the past and play something that has already aired. The catch-up page explains how far back that goes.
The guide in TiviMate Premium
TiviMate’s grid is one of the reasons people choose it, and the Premium version, which Moa Tv activates for you, adds:
- search by programme name across every channel and day in the guide;
- reminders that pop up when a programme you’ve marked is about to start;
- recording straight from the grid, once or for every episode;
- a full-screen view with your groups and favourites down the side.
When the playlist is added with the Xtream Codes login, guide data arrives on its own; there’s no separate address to enter.
When the listings look wrong
| What you see | Most likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Every programme an hour or more out | The device’s time zone or clock | Fix the time zone on the TV or stick, then refresh the guide |
| Times still wrong after that | An offset for this playlist | Adjust the EPG time shift in TiviMate’s playlist settings |
| One channel shows no listings | The broadcaster provides no guide data | Nothing to fix; the channel still plays |
| The whole guide is empty | It hasn’t finished loading yet | Wait a few minutes, then use Settings → EPG → Update EPG |
Our step-by-step article on an empty or wrong Moa Tv TV guide covers each case in more detail.
TV guide questions
Is the guide part of every Moa Tv plan?
Yes. Listings come with every plan at no extra cost.
How many days ahead can I see?
Usually several days, depending on how much schedule data each broadcaster publishes.
Do players other than TiviMate show the guide?
Most good players do. With the Xtream Codes login they load it automatically; with an M3U playlist you may need the guide link from your welcome email.
